RRC Paterson GlobalFoods Institute

With its marble floors and century-old vaults, Winnipeg’s prized historical building – the Union Bank Tower – was given new life with an injection of funding from all levels of government. Launched in 2013, the Tower was transformed by Red River College and renamed Paterson GlobalFoods Institute, a new 100,000 sq. ft. space that is home to its Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism Management and Professional Baking and Patisserie programs. The Paterson GlobalFoods Institute is LEED certified and features classroom and kitchen space to an anticipated 1,000 students, a rooftop patio and garden, and student residence with over 100 rooms. Jane’s Restaurant, a 105-seat fine dining restaurant that also serves as a training setting for students, can be found on the main floor.
