Downtown Winnipeg’s Farmers’ Market
Have you ever been sitting in your downtown office, looking out the window, dreaming about something fresh for lunch? Or local produce? Or homemade baking? Well on Mondays and Thursdays, the Downtown Winnipeg’s Farmers’ Market are making those dreams a reality. Urban farmers’ markets not only make fresh, local produce accessible for people who live and work downtown, but also provide great exposure for local businesses and farms.
For Winnipeggers, lack of access to local, fresh food in the downtown areas has been an ongoing concern. These markets aim to address that issue, while contributing to the overall vibrant dynamic of Winnipeg’s urban centre. On Mondays from July 7-August 25 check out the market at 333 Broadway (Workers Compensation Board) and on Thursdays from June 5- October 9 at the Manitoba Place Hydro Plaza. Hours of operation are 10am-4pm.
With over 40 vendors shoppers can purchase baking, vinegars, jams, meat, fruits, veggies, spices, sauces, jewelry, cosmetics, scarves, hats and so much more. For a complete list of vendors please see:
